The town I found it in was established as a settlement for Eastern Europeans in the 1800's primarily from Poland and Russia..all i can guess is it was a someones good luck charm perhaps..Very happy to find it..can't wait to get back to that field tomorrow! Took it to coin shop in town..look's like it's from the late 1500's to the early 1600's but it was too worn for him to give me any further info and suggested that take it to an ancient coin expert in the city so I'll take it there next week.. I posted a link above

Whoa, that's crazy. Don't think I've ever seen one like. Great recovery.

Thanks,Ill probably donate it to the historical society there ...it's really frail and better off in better hands

That is a banner coin. A hammered (?) Silver coin found in USA is SPECTACULAR!

Awesome find. Tough to find something older than that in the states.

very cool find!!! congrats to you

Find of a lifetime for sure, congrats!!!

COngratulation!

Nice find! Glad to see these coming from this area.

Only in america! lol Nice find indeed.

Super Old Silver with a Regal looking bust, Luvvit !!
Before donating I'd recommend getting some confirmation it will be
displayed rather than hidden in a folder, sold off or disappearing.
Been there, done that....
Congrats on a Great Find. Banner Vote from Me!
Get a better pic of that obverse side in your post.

Thanks alot..Can't wait for the farmer to plow that field the grass is knee high and I've only hunted about 1/5th of the field...saw his plows out there today getting ready

You just never know. GO FLYERS.

Great find. Why isn't this among the banner finds?

Thanks guys

That's a good attitude, most people would tend to want to keep it, including me.
If you donate it, I'd definitely vote for Honorable Mention.
Thinking it should be banner as well.
Plus, how many people can say they dug a Trojack?!.
Kudos
Carl
Honestly, first thing I thought of when I read the title, was a bar-related joke.
Polish? South Jersey?
It's a natural set-up!:laughing7:
