I had a fun hunt at a new cellar hole spot. It was supposedly a 17th century French Acadian cellar but all I could find was evidence of later 18th century British occupation. It makes sense though because after the British expelled the acadians from most of Nova Scotia they claimed their land as their own and lived in the same houses or built new ones on top of of the original cellars. I was super excited about maybe finding some old French silver but still had some nice finds like shoe buckles, flat buttons, musket balls and three British george ii half penny’s. I still have more area to explore and hope to find more cellars holes that I was told are around there. My only problem is it’s over a 3 hour drive away. To add some more modern finds to the hunt for a little bonus I dug a silver 1947 dime, a toy tractor and a first for me 1928 first trans Atlantic flight medallion which was pretty cool. Thanks for looking! [emoji16][emoji106]
