I stopped a bank in Ohio yesterday. I do not ask for halves first. I usually prime the pump by asking for 3 or 4 dollars in pennies. After they give me the cents I then ask for any halve dollars, "either loose, in rolls or perhaps from the vault." It is amazing how often tellers do not remember that they have a few rolls in their box or that there are some in the vault. It is nice to remind them.

This time I asked for $4 in pennies and she gave the the rolls and a $1 dollar bill. It was a silver certificate. I asked if she had more and she said yes, and lady brought them in earlier. I asked if she had brought in any coins the teller said, "No, just the dollars". I gave her $16 more dollars, asked if she had any halves (No halves). And made my way home.

Boy, don't you know there's a law against robbin banks?:occasion14:

Man, and I thought everything had already happened today that could happen. This MUST BE one of the best days in Tnet history, as far as awesome posts is concerned!!

Thanks for adding to such an amazing day!! :notworthy:

Awesome score. You have a few good serial numbers in there as well. If you have a good relationship with that teller I would ask her to notify you the next time that lady stops by to deposit more paper/coins.

Awesome! Love those blue seals. Haven't gotten one from a bank in years because the tellers are wise and save everything of value for themselves.

Congratz! Those are nice.

worth more than $17----------- get them valued from an honest dealer SCORE!!

Awesome Score!
