1710 OLDEST SILVER, IT'S FRENCH ! & live dug VID

Yesterdays digs, hope it still counts, computer froze during vid upload, bla, bla, bla...

Anyway I was re-griding the lead field in the opposite direction of the Aug. 27th hunt. I wasn't there very long before I got one off the top ten list, yep a french Silver. A little bit of a bend in it, but SUPER HAPPY with this find. As well another fathead 6 pence, and three coppers, for a record smashing 101 for the year.

Good luck out there.

Awesome dig... I'd love to even crack into the 1800's... much less something ALMOST in the 1600's!

Also, did you notice this while digging copper #99 for the year? You didn't mention it in the video. :laughing7: View attachment 858740

Those are GOOD EYES !
but I check the plug, then the hole with pin pointer, that's how I know where to continue the dig for the video. I admit it surely does look like coin roundness in the dirt there, but must be a round-ish rock.

Alternate "story" :laughing7: I don't keep the "little ones", not to worry I'm going back regardless.
Good catch, and good luck out there.
