Hey everyone. My name is JP. I'm a 25 year metal detecting and treasure hunting veteran. I've lived on the treasure coast of Florida my entire life and have had the pleasure of hunting the 1715 fleet wrecks for many years. I was fortunate growing up here and getting to dive with some of the most well known treasure hunters in the world... including Mel Fisher and Bob Weller.

Over the last few years (mostly because our beaches have been destroyed by beach "renourishment" I've turned my focus to land hunting... mostly in GA and SC where I have offices for my roofing company. I wished I had started years ago because I'm obsessed with it!

Anyhow, really here just to enjoy what you folks find, get help id'ing since of my stuff and to hopefully share some of my finds with all of you.

Cheers!
JP

Hi JP,
Yeah, I love seeing and hearing stories what other people find besides knowing there are other people out in this world that wonder around with a MD waving it around. The treasure is not what you find but in being out there doing it.
take care,
tom

Welcome from mid-Georgia. As someone that grew up on the beach at least one thing is true. The ocean always reclaims it's own. In no time the treasure will be back to a reasonable depth!!

You've found a great place for information and fellow treasure hunters of all kinds -- welcome to our community!
