1722 Coin Found In Private Yard Six Inches Down

A friend of mine just found this Crazy silver coin in the yard of a home built in the 1890's! He showed it to me today, and I'm Puzzled as to just what country it's from! It's the size of a US quarter, And A Stange Find!
