Got about 4 hours to hunt before work today. It's about to start so I got to post fast.

Got 4 silvers. The 1917 and 1920 were in the same hole. The '64 Washington and '64 Roosie couldn't have been father away from one another.

The Indian was about 6" deep. It's going to clean up well.

The KG was a wicked choppy signal. 12-41 ish. Kept digging an digging and finally got it around 10" down. Phew. It's mid cleaning so please excuse the bad pics. The 1747 is barely legible since she's toasty but I'm glad I could pull a date. I don't know if I can get a pic that could clearly show the date. I'll post better pics after work. KG's are nice. I'm glad it was a KG2. I've found 3 KG3's this year and so this was a very nice sight! It's toasty but NJ soil by me has never been too kind in my experience.

I've only ever found 1, and destroyed it in a failed attempt to get the date

Not the 1st time I ever failed at getting a date lol:laughing7:

Very well done Scrappy. You are quite the treasure finding machine.

I am coming up that way with Smittyman in a couple of weeks. I sure do hope that we do that well. Congrats & GL!

I totally understand. I see people posting great looking KG's on here and I'm always finding the crusty ones. Oh well, they're all beautiful to me!

Thanks Tom. Do you and Smittyman have a spot picked out or are you guys winging it?

Yeah this one I tried to get a date from was beautiful, tall blonde, blue eyes, a bit outta my league. ........

Oh wait were talking about coins darnit!

4 silvers, KG and an IH, Awesome hunt!!

I've got probably a dozen old coppers this year and could barely get a date off most of them.

Congrats on a Sweet hunt!!

Those KG's are tricky with those dates. They are so small and delicate. I only have 3 I can read.

You are coming up with really awesome silver! Nice!

Lol. Thx Loco. I'm doing this for an organization so I'm glad to be finding some items.

Good going on the KG2. Hopefully she'll clean up nice. Other coins ain't bad either.

Nice Steve!!!
Always love sites with wide range of years..
Just never know whata coming out next..

Hope you hammer out some more early silvers there bud. Those sites are fun when they've got history going back that far. Especially if the ground is pretty much left alone and there's not 8" of fill. How big is this spot?

Atta boy! Great finds. The IH will be a show stopper once it's cleaned up!

Awesome hunt! I always love to see the old coppers.
