That's a beaut congrats!

Congrats! That is very sharp.

Nice detail on the coin. You don't need a Scanning Electron Microscope to figure out what it is. In 1776, you could buy a few small beers or watered-down rum with that beauty.

This doesn't detract from your find, but there were no halfpennies (approx 28mm) nor farthings (approx 23mm) struck in 1757. This will be a contemporary counterfeit, sometimes improperly known as 'evasion issues' produced to alleviate the desperate shortage of small copper coins which Britain dismally failed to supply to the colonies... unless that '5' is a '3' and it's 1737

Indeed. An 18th century counterfeit is as equally historic and desirable a relic as the legitimate 'legally' issued coin of the realm. At least in my book.

Can't expect much better than that. Congratulations!

Awesome find- Congrats!

Awesome find Im still looking for one of those.

It certainly stood the test of time, congrats on the crisp copper. It certainly would put a smile on my mug if I turned the soils and saw it.

Real or counterfeit that's a great find either way!

Nice??? That is spectacular! congrats

Authentic or authentic counterfeit...all good! I love you can read the date!

Nice find. Most coppers in my area don’t do well with the soil.

Awesome detail on that coin! :occasion14:
