Funny thing is I managed to loose it shortly after I found it, dumped the pouch, backpack, and checked all pockets many times, all I can figure I must have missed the pouch when I dropped it ?
It is the second time in 9 years I lost something the day it was found.

I always use my little pocket on the right of my jeans for "The Good Stuff".

Beauty of a coin too!

On my bucket list. She's a beauty, congrats!

That's a beauty. Perfect digs man. I'm still awaiting the arrival of a French coin. Congrats!

Nice find congrats now you get to find it again

If it is still in the field, and I get there soon enough there is a chance I can retrace my steps in the soft tilled dirt ?

Congrats on the find,, sorry to hear that you lost it.
Like "hogge" I am in the habit of putting all silver coins, wheats, Indians, etc. into my small coin pocket of my jeans.

I "normally" put the better coins, buttons in small zip lock bags. It may be too that I "stuck" it somewhere temporarily it might be in the house, but at this point I'm doubting it.

That's a nice looking coin Rick, I've never dug one of those sols. Can't believe you can't find it now. That would drive me crazy.

Good luck finding that sweet one bud. I use clear plastic pill bottles

For some reason whatever those are made up they can come out good, some looking just like silver. There's two that comes to mind we dug here and we were both fooled for a sec seeing it in the dirt.

You'll no doubt find it again.

Nice coin, but what a bummer to lose it! Hopefully you retrace your hunt and locate it again. Good luck!

You'll find it buddy. Really nice coin that we rarely see. I use this little case for my better finds

The top screws on and off. I'm always scared as hell over losing something

Aaaahhh! This isn't fishing Rick, you're not supposed to throw them back! Great coin and I hope you're able to find it again.

Yup. Me too. I also always keep at least one guitar pick in that pocket. I never lose anything from that pocket.

Whenever I find a ring I immediately put it on my keychain. I have a little easy open thing to pop it right on without scratching anything.

Oh, nice old coin btw. Too bad you lost it.
Maybe you can go back with your detector, retrace your steps and relocate it.

Wow, that looked to be nice coin! Don't give up on hoping to recover that coin. I found an 1805 five berries draped bust dime two years ago. When I got home, I noticed it wasn't in my pouch. I went back to the site a weekend later and scanned for an hour. No luck. Was cleaning out my truck three weeks after that, and there it was between the floor mat and the floor board. Unbelievable! The road I traveled was so bumpy it obviously bounced out of the pouch. Check every possible place and it will show up. I will keep my fingers crossed for ya.
