1796 half real

Got this puppy, along with 3 gilt buttons, last night in "CA" This is a 1796 half real. I've gotten 17 different reales from this particular site now. The round halo interior ring look on the face shot, is just the way it soaked in "ezest" prior to the pix.

I've dug a lot of early coins with holes at the tops/edges before, but never one with a hole in the direct center. Anyone ever seen a real holed in the center before?

AA, no, I haven't heard from Paul lately. It's been a few months since I last talked to him. He's around though, but just doesn't poke around on forums much, unless he gets on something worthwhile, as far as hunt results.
