I haven't posted anything in a while because I just haven't found anything worth posting until now. This past weekend, I got an invite to hunt a colonial home site on the coast of Georgia. I was finding flat buttons (15 total) musket balls, and a lead cast net sinker but no coins. It was a great area to hunt because there wasn't much modern trash. At the end of the day while I was about to wrap up, I got a really good signal. It was about 4" down in a mix of white and gray sand. Finally a coin and one that I'm quite happy with! I also dug a small toy cannon from the site and will post it later when I can get better photos.

Congrats on such a great find! And nice job to not overclean it!

That is a beautiful coin in great shape. Congrats!

Wow! If that had been in the red clay it wouldn't look anywhere that nice!

That coin has some great detail left to it. The ground was very kind! Looking forward to seeing this toy cannon too. I'd love to find one of those!

Oh wow, what a beauty!

Hard to believe it's 222 years old, in such nice shape. 222 years old, in 02/2020, that is! Time to buy a lottery ticket?

Great coin I'm trying to find my first good addition to your collection. Tommy
