17th Century Asymmetrical buckle, VT copper, KG1, buttons

I tried a new spot today. I was pleasantly surprised to find an early and productive site. Not bad for a 75 minute hunt.

A nice hair pin, and mostly marked buttons. A great owl themed book clasp was the cherry on top.

Killer stuff buddy! I thought I responded to this but it must've been in a text. I've never found that style buckle. You know how I feel about 17th century finds. They're in a League of their own my man. Ive found a few 1600s buckles but still am looking for that style. Those Vt coppers are tough finds as well

Haha, so I have something you don't? Haa! Lol.

Knowing your skill and the grounds you have access to, I'm sure you'll find many of these types. And older, and better, just to be clear. That said, 17th Century finds in my immediate area of NJ are tough. Most parts of my area don't have recorded settlements until the 1720's - 1760's.
