Made my way into a cabin site Sunday for a preliminary survey . 1800 or prior . All that's left is the remains of the chimney and foundation stones . About 14' x 20' . A spring with a dry laid curb is about 25' from the corner of the house . Some evidence of other buildings .
Found a stone splitting wedge there 40 yrs ago and an iron spike Sunday . Site has never been actively hunted .Wish I had a
partner to share this with .

Thanks for the reply . I won't work this site much without a hunting buddy to share with . My 8yr old grandson isn't geared for this . he needs more instant gratification .
These were the first pics I've posted . Hopefully I can post more of better quality .

I know it's been a while, but I'm available!

TB, looks like a good one for sure. Maybe Civil War Hunter could help you.
Or maybe not. :tongue3:

Looks like it may have some potential. Good luck and hope you find some good ones

I have a very similiar site. There was this cabin built in the late 1800s and has been torn down and is located on my grandparents farmland. Haven't been able to detect it yet but I wish I had someone to go with me.
