thanks for looking. on top of the bell are 3 holes, it looks like the forth hole was not punched out. is this by design or just a mistake? from what litttle i have read about this type of bell the #3 is for the size of the pea inside.

That half cent is in pretty good shape! I found four Half Cents this year and none have a readable date!
