In 2015 I dug 3 1800's coins.

In 2016 I dug 4 1800's coins.

In 2017 so far I have dug 13 1800's coins plus a 1799.

This all coming from the Chicago area of cook county.

How many 1800's coins have you dug this year?

A whopping 4 so far

15 plus 1787 & 1796

One, 188x IHP, Here (and it was quite by accident):

This is more of a challenge to others in Illinois, if you can find anything 1800's or silver in this park, then KUDOS!

This is the oldest park in Chicago.

Henry...I can pretty much guarantee you won't find much there. The guy who hooked me on MD (RIP, Tom) scoured every foot of that park in the early 80's. This guy was pretty damn thorough when he hunted. He told me he pulled about $18-20k worth outta Washington. 😞

Thanks Ogre, I feel even luckier I found that IHP!

If they ever till the soil or pull it out to refresh I'd be all over it. Stuff may still be there, but DEEP.

Its really a nice area (Northside) of the city to grab a coffee early in the morning and do some real urban detecting.

He used to hit all the big Chicago parks. ..including south n west sides. He'd go early on Sundays n in the not-nicer neighborhoods, he'd usually have an audience of Chicago's Finest...just in case. 😜
