An old man had gone into town and just sold his crops for the year and with a pocket full of money he decided to go to the local mechantile and buy a new set of clothes. After looking around a while he settled on a new pair of overalls and a new flannel shirt, new socks and underwear and a new pair of shoes. He loaded them into his wagon and headed for home. On the way he passed over a small creek and decided to take a bath, He said," I'll clean up, put on my new clothes and go home and surprise ma". He got down off the wagon, stripped down and threw his old clothes on the wagon. But before he could get his new clothes off the wagon, something spooked the horses and they ran off with the wagon. There he stood, naked as a jaybird. He said," I think I will still take a bath and go home and really surprise ma". rockhound
