Hey guys,

This week I tried my hand at a few inland sites recently made accessible by some clear cutting of dense undergrowth. The site sits adjacent an old land plot that was utilized as a plantation as early as the late 1700s. I've hit the site in the past, however never with the CTX. Needless to say, there were a ton of targets! Among the heavy iron patch, I recovered a few buckle components, heel tap, and heavy copper boot tap.

There was also variety of low "iffy" signals. Most ringing in 12-20 and below. Most were lead seals, however a few did give way to some pretty interesting buttons.

The earliest was a large, 35mm dandy button dating from the late 18th century. A few others included a smaller 30mm gilded flat button with small flowers stamped in a cirlce, 2 tombacs, an 8 point copper star flat button, and an interesting mid 19th century trouser button manufactured only minutes away in Charleston.

The best digs came late, as they usually do. First up was his and her jewelry- a Victorian broach (unfortunately the diamonds turned out to be glass/crystal) and a 18K (fake) gold wedding ring.

My last dig turned out to be a small coin spill The first was a 1888 IHP, in great condition considering the salt water nearby, and the second a smaller seated dime from 1877.

Days like these are certainly the reason we keep swinging- buttons, buckles, and SILVER! Thanks for looking.

Very nice assortment of relics and coins, but I'm sure not as old as you would've liked.
