I found these at a 1800's home site. It's not a coin it's thin with a small edge like a cap. image.webp

The other coin has "MCCCCX" plus other letters - if you can provide everything you can make out - I will search the net.

It's not the coin though, sadly. It's just think copper or bronze it looked like the coin maybe came in the protective covering? I will take pictures of the back and post them. Did coins like this sell as a novelty? Thanks for the help!

This looks like the cover of the medallion I think? See the holes?

I cant find any with a cover on them. not sure what it is.

It looks just like the Columbus coin but just a thin covering. Maybe the coin was sold in this protective style?

what do you think the metal is? tin? on the "coin cover"

I believe it's copper could even be brass but I always confuse the two if the item is not brand new, the way they change color has always confused me.
