Dug another old large copper today at my colonial site. This one is a BEAUTIFUL 1805 draped bust.

That is a real beauty, congrats!

That is a stunning LC! What kind of soil did you find that in? Mine always look live they’ve been through ten world wars...

Damn...you're killing it! That LC is in absolutely amazing condition! Congratulations.

Yes,it is a very beautiful draped bust penny.

Wow! Awesome condition.

Thanks everyone! I was super excited when this popped out of the hole and cleaned up so nicely with one light rub.

This coin came out of a mix of loose loamy and sandy soil. Other coins from this site didn't fare so well but they were in much more organic\composty soil that you usually find in the woods. You can check my other recent post with a Connecticut copper and a William III (presumed based on a couple specific traits).

Thanks again!

What a fabulous find! Congratulations on a real beauty!

NICE :-). Hh gl great detail. I also have an 1805 in similar condition
Maybe it’s copper quality ?

Whoa. What a monster beauty! :headbang:

They don't get much nicer than that! Beauty!

Keep hitting it! Bound to be other treasures there!
