Dug this out of a corn field today along with a small button that looks like someone put a hole through it. I have no idea what the other item is.

I love finding this kind of stuff. Silver and gold still allude me for some reason.

Thanks for looking!

That's pretty cool. The "other item" looks like a cufflink to me.

That's what I thought as well regarding the cufflink. I threw it over the What is it? Thread too.

Thanks

Yep. Definitely a cufflink. Great finds. Don't see the half cents turning up every day.

Those Draped Bust half cents are a tough find - Nice !

Neat stuff! Thanks for sharing...

Early coppers are just as cool of a find as silver and gold in my book.... Nice find!!

Nice finds! The half cent looks like it's got a lot of detail left on it.

MentalMetal314, SWEET coin. I am still searching for my first half cent. Keep Swinging!!!

Congrats on the Half Cent and the cuff links. There is probably a concentration in that field somewhere. I would follow the iron hits and the pottery shards!

Great finds! I found a very similar set of old Cufflinks a few months back in a farm field- they look just like yours:

Both the half cent and cuff links still on my list of things to find, way to go!

I too love the green! (Coppa's)

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm heading back to same place tomorrow and have permission to swing in the field that butts right up against a church that's been since at least the Civil War and it's right on the same route troops took to get to Gettysburg. I'm pumped!

Thanks again!

Definitely cufflinks, some real nice finds there!
