The 'WC 1812' mark is for the Waterbury Company of Connecticut, but they didn't make buttons like that in 1812. It's the foundation date for the company as part of their trademark.

According to USPTO, the mark was registered in 1986 (and cancelled in 2006), so that would mean modern repro:
