1812 canadian half penny

my dad and i saw this abandoned house that looked pretty old so we go to it and it is FILLED with junk and the first thing i get is the is kansas city 4 tag thing in the second picture and i cant figure out what it is any help? then i get this really iffy signal and i pull it out of about 2 inches and i can see its really thin and i yell to my dad to come check it out and we clean it up and we see the date 1812! wee look it up and its a lower canadian half penny...still stoked about it....couldnt pull anything else from that site and if you know about that kansas city tag thing send me a PM please

The Kansas tag is likely a hotel tag for room #4. A very cool find. I like the old coin too.
Be sure to have permission at abandoned sites.

The "tag" looks to be a watch fob to me. Looks like it could be a local Kansas candidate running for office fob. I found one that was a presidential fob that looked similar to yours.
 

nice score on that oldie! thats an old find for Michigan! congrats on that and the other great finds! I use the Jackson County GIS plat mapping website to find out who owns what property, works great. Anyway, nice finds again :thumbsup:
