1812 Sackets Harbor, New York

had a very rare...very rare opportunity to detect some of Sackets Harbor in New York. Could not go where the barracks were but more towards the Black River Bay. Hopefully I can get the pictures on this thread. Been awhile since I have done this. 3 mini-balls...to that are flatten don't know what they hit...Connon primers and I believe to be the end of a musket ram. We did have permissions for 1 day. What do you all think

What caliber are the musket balls ? Im not far from there. Nice finds Rol.

Could be muzzleloading pistol balls. I have been though Sackett's Harbor many times on the way to the Thousand Islands in the 1950s but did not know its War of 1812 history then. Neat place in my recall.

Ok .50 is 50 caliber very interesting. I find them in sackets area that are 3/4 of an inch or .750. I assume their from a british musket
