Hi everyone. Its getting pretty cold around here but I had the itch to have a dive. I'm glad I did. My very first hit was my best 1812 button yet. A jacket button of the Royal Newfoundland Fencibles. They fought all over the place and served as Marines on the Great Lakes. There buttons are as rare as hens teeth in this condition. It also has a sweet makers mark. I also found a couple of nice coppers and pommel of an officers sword.

Hey, Its a 1808-1812 model Royal Newfoundland Regiment button. What other info can there be? I'm confused why you want to know what it worth??? Do you have one?
I wish I had one, my wife being a Newfoundlander would scoop that up strait away:laughing7:. I am interseted in it's rarity, the three major things that make a good find like this one a fantastic find is historical significance, rarity and condition. This is usually measured in value $$$. Not that I sell my finds because I don't, that's just my thing but to many people they would be more willing to cast a Banner vote if they see the value of such a button and take more interest in it.
With your button we know the historical significance and we can clearly see that it is in fantastic condition but how rare are they?

I see. Well its worth at least $725. I have sold lesser condition ones for 425-600. I hope this helps.

Amazing. You have my vote.

Amazing finds as always! So glad to see your posts as the condition and quality is always top notch. Would love to have that button in my collection.
