I got out this weekend, but could only take the extreme heat and humidity for about 2 hours. Mosquitoes the size of sparrows! Fire ants, horseflies, you name it, they were after me. But it was worth it for the fine 1820 General Service US Army button, with "UNITED STATES" backmark, and a bent shank. It's been a while since I dug a button this old, and it's from right in my own neighborhood, too. Very convenient.

Nice find Thommy.

Beautiful button Thommy. I would love to find one like that. That U.S. on it is awesome.

Very nice! That type is on my list. Hoping to find one here in Louisiana. I know they are around to be dug.

Cheers,

Buck
