Unknown Half Penny - I can make out the shield on the reverse. The other side is toast.

This one, I need help with. My buddy found it. One side is blank. The other side has this. I haven't seen this style before. 35 mm

This one my buddy also found. Is it French? Portuguese? It has a very weird wreath, with a pillar? and some letters next to the pillar.

Ah yes, that looks like it. French.... It's not a sol, or centime. I remember seeing a D next to the fasces when i held it. So , it would be a Decime?

Thanks joesmarbles!

Ahhhh, Crete. I spent a little bit of time there. 2 Weeks in Chania. I still remember the beautiful beaches on the west coast of the island, and the fantastic food. Nice people, too. It would be nice to do some detecting there, eh?

I was most fortunate to live there for 3 years, 3 months, and 3 days. Would have loved to retire there but it is a mess now, breaks my heart....Joe

hey where in NS did you find these coins?

Way to go Gio!

You're off and running this year, just that slight white pause huh? you've picked up right where you left off with some nice old colonial coppers!
