Hillbilly and myself started out working and than decided to go see if we could find a homesite to hunt being it was such a beautiful day. We spent plenty of time riding and searching and than finally it came together with permission granted at a site we was hoping would bring some early 1800's finds.
I started bringing up alot of iron and than some flat buttons and was really just enjoying being out and than I got a nice strong signal that i knew was going to be good. After searching through the plug I seen silver and than carefully removed it from the dirt and couldn't believe it, I hollered at Hillbilly and told him I just found a Capped Bust dime!!! This is my second one in 2 yrs and couldn't be happier. this one being my oldest at 1833 and my first one found 2 yrs ago was a 1837. (I just love the patina on old silver).
I finally calmed down and got to swinging again bringing up more buttons and some nice iron relics to add to the collection. It was a very nice day and with Hillbilly finding alot of nice finds and buttons including a gold gilt button, a nice ball button and a Awesome Sporting button.

Thanks for Reading, Bill

Sweet relics, and a great capped bust. As they used to say in the Old Milwaukee commercials....."It doesn't get any better than this."

Nice dime!!! I'd still like to find a silver Roosevelt with mine.

I like the ax head too. Does it appear to be hand wrought?
