From the research I've done, I've matched it to this:

Liberty Seated Dimes Varieties 1837 - 1891 - 1839o_105page

It's in crazy-good condition, with tons of fine detail. The pictures don't do the color justice. It shines bright.

The tone was perfect, smooth, consistent, and repeatable. I knew it was something good after the second swing over the spot. Good times!

I found it next to a little river, down in the woods on the corner of my lot. Located in Southeast NH, I'm surrounded by big-time history. There are old logging roads, cellar holes, hunting trails, and various other 200+ year old features all over.

The machine was a Garrett A.T. Pro, running in custom mode with little discrimination on. There was zero garbage around, so for the most part my machine was silent for what seemed like forever. Then it hit; a this super-strong, super-clean signal for a target about six inches down. I knew it was something good, having dug my share of rubbish. The ground was soft-packed forest floor, and it came out easy. I saw the seated figure and seriously started shaking. I'm still pumped.

That's one seriously Sweet seated, Congrats!!

1839O dime with no drapery. Awesome find! The black spots....is that permanent or dirt. Silver can corrode. Could be a die defect on the obverse. If it's a grade of extra fine.....$135. Not bad.

Awesome coin!!!

WOW!!! That is a beauty!! Congrats !! HH
