Spent the whole weekend in the fields with BadJim, fields just arent producing this fall like spring. I can't remember any good fields yet this fall, at least none worth making a return trip to. This spring I had some amazing fields in fact some I have been to 6-7 times and they are STILL producing.

I still managed a keeper or two in each field we were at. Jim got his first ever CW store card, and several indians and a couple tokens, we hit several different spots saturday and sunday, pretty much hunted all day both days.

I managed 1 silver, my silver finds have pretty much went all downhill since starting field hunting, but I have been concentrating on getting a record number of LC's and indians, at least a record for me....I scored 5 indians, takes me to 171 indians for the yr, Smashed last yrs record of 146. I got a real nice 1906 V nickel, and a 1849 LC. I even found a nice point laying on the surface of a beanfield, I always welcome finding indian artifacts. Very little signals in the fields we hit, basically no relics, not a single button for me all weekend, hard to believe.

Still some nice coins. I'm surprised you don't find more arrowheads in those Ohio fields.

Very cool finds!!

Excellent set of finds and the pictures are quite compelling! Will have to learn to take nice pics like yours!

tons and tons of arrowhead hunters in my county, and farmers do mostly no till around here anymore, finding arrowheads while detecting is just pure luck, I have found 4 this yr and that was with a couple hundred hours in the fields

Great finds Terry. Beautiful pictures like usual!!
thanks Kyle!!!

those finds above are from 6 field sites.....some sites have virtually NO conductive signals, and I dig EVERYTHING above iron, trust me, if a field is producing I hammer it time and time again! the LC came from a site that I have hunted for 3 seasons now, in 3 yrs it has gave up 2 LC's a seated dime, 15 indians, 6 crotal bells and other relics....sites like that are RARE!!! Most field sites give up 2-3 indians, and a few misc relics

You're lucky to have such kinds soil. My Indians usually come out nice and toasty. I only have a few with a nice green patina like yours. The ones I have are from non-fertilized fields or from parks. Sweet finds, love thew arrowhead.

Cool coins, but like said before, I can't believe that you haven't found more Indian artifacts in your area.....................................HH

Congrats on all the finds, That V nickel is in great shape!! Way to go on the LC and POINT!
