Sorry it’s not civil war as there are no Seminole war forums on here. These finds are from some of my latest adventures detecting a third Seminole war fort in FL. Found my first 2 plates this year. They were 43 feet apart. Tons of buttons, bullets, coins, and more too. Enjoy:)

The 2 plates are model 1839 small style US belt plates with 2 attachments. Yes, that’s NN. Hunting with him again next weekend.

What a great hunt ! You should share this in the "Todays finds section". Everyone would enjoy seeing it. I can move it if you wish. Your call. Fantastic assortment of the time and period!

That looks like a major honey hole. Lots of quality finds and nice variety. Army plates are so cool. Those buttons are in incredible shape too. And we always love old silver! Very well done!

Great finds. Go back. A tip... look for any rock piles that may be nearby. If you find any, make dern sure you check them closely. Soldiers of the Seminole Wars were known to hide their valuables before going out on patrol. Some never returned to recover their valuables. I know of recoveries of gold and silver coin found in rock piles near forts of that era.

very cool stuff. those buttons are killer. Not to mention that silver and everything else. nice job!

Sorry I missed this before and congrats on the finds and the Banner! With all of those finds, if you sell some, you can likely afford a deeper seeking metal detector like a Minelab CTX-3030. I can't wait to see what else you both pull from the Fort location. Don't forgot to check areas around the Fort location as well, especially if there is evidence of any structures that were outside of the Fort.

Congratulations just saw your banner! Lol. I still think this post needs to be in todays finds where everyone will see it. Glad you shared.

Fantastic finds! I love the buckles and buttons. It's nice to see some young fellows enjoying history. Hope you dig a lot more goodies to show us!
