dug a .38 caseing at 4 inches reading a solid 50, at the base of a tree, then i check the hole and bam a 92 screaming, pulled out the token, also got a railroad key and a weird pin

A friend of mine found one of those last year in a swimming hole here in Arkansas. I think his was an 1852 also...d2
 
very cool to pull out a coin that size, there def are a few for sale on ebay so not that rare but very cool and a real pretty coin
 
I have dug a few Canadian pieces here in Vermont. I love seeing them in the hole:icon_thumright:

Just found this thread. Very cool find right there dude! Believe it or not, my detecting buddy Jessy pulled one of those out of the ground right in front of me yesterday. I Love that beautiful green patina on these oldies. A really beautiful thing to behold, I tell ya, coming out of the soil like that. :) Hope you let it soak in olive oil for awhile. Then the toned patina, glows like something precious and rare, which, to me, it is. :)Happy dig'n friend.lb
