1853 Quarter Love Token

[prolab69]

Had a nice quiet day to myself for hunting some cellar holes, found a nice 1853 seated quarter love token. also found an 1886 Indian head and 2 buttons. Enjoy the pics,

Cool, it looks like it was soldered for a pin attachment instead of being holed. That makes it different, but I think all love tokens are cool, holed or not. .

This was actually my 1st Seated Quarter. The first picture is what my first glimps of it was. . I seem to have been doing pretty good with my shooter coil, this was found in the driveway about 3in down mixed in with a lot of iron, I thought it was a pepsi cap at first, been digging a few of those. . anyway, thanks for all the great replies, Pro-

Good find, great looking site.

Very neat! One of a kind find right there, and in excellent shape!
Maybe the girl decided he wasn't the guy for her and so she tossed the love token in protest.
