Went back to the old 1840's homestead that i have hunted many times before.
Started out with the 11" coil, and after 2 hours of digging mostly small pieces of brass and lead, i figured it was time to take a break and re-group.
Decided to switch over to the niner and go work the iron beds. Made a few adjustments to my Reactivity & Sensitivity.
Was listening for those tiny peeps among the machine gun iron w/ 0 Disc. and heard a slight variation in tones, that i almost didnt dig.
Glad i did, because in the hole was some nails and a nice 1854-0 Seated half dime. She is a little flattened/warped on one side, but shes still smokin hot.
Dug a ton of square nails today while workin those beds, but it was worth it.
