Got out for a LONGG day of detecting with Mom and Arty(Artyfacts)Down in his neck of the woods. Came away with some pretty decent finds including a beautiful 1858 Flying Eagle, An eagle button with a Hortsman Philly backmark, a few buttons some very old. The pewter one has to be mid 1700's and a neat domed button that is solid, not sure about that one probably same date range. Also found a Whatsit at the top pic. Half circle shaped piece with two solid teeth sticking out of the back. :icon_thumleft: Mom ended up finding a few buttons, a silver washington quarter and ,of course, a 14kt gold ring in a farm field. No matter where she goes the gold finds her.... :o Arty ended up with a few buttons a some nice suspender buckles. Thanks for having us down Arty! Would love to see those buckles. And thanks agin for the Confederate General Service Accoutrement Plate book!Lots of pictures...I like pictures :laughing9: Thanks for looking. :icon_thumleft:
