1863 Civil War Token found in a box of dimes

I posted this on another forum, but I wanted to share it here as well.

Found this pretty cool token Friday evening. It would have been far less strange if it popped out of a box of pennies, but this 150 year old treasure was hiding in a box of dimes. I don't think it traded as currency since there is no denomination, but there is an S mint mark under Andrew Jackson. Here is the token:

I also found this completed ebay listing of my exact token, but have yet to find a lot of "info" on web about the coin's history.
