1866 III first time find

I found this 1866 III at a park I have been detecting for years, still finding the goodies.

Those Three Cent Nickels are perhaps the toughest U.S. coins to find. If they're deep, they always read SO low.


That is an excellent recovery.

I was hoping for a silver, i only found this one because i turned the discrimanation down so i could see if i could find a gold coin, This coin read between tin foil and nicole. I hope there are more good finds left. Earlyer this year i found a half dime at the same spot. Over the years i have found over 100 indians, some merc, some sheild and v nicoles. one kinda gold ring and one silver ring. One 1853 siting liberty 25 cent. I hope there is a gold coin with my name on it. Good luck to every one.
