opened up a roll of halfs today and in the middle of all of those half dollars i found an 1866 one cent from the uk and it is in really good condition. any thoughts as to how much it is worth. i dont have a picture and i was shocked when it fell out or the roll. although i would bet anything that it is worth more than the 50 cent piece that it replaced in the roll. suprdave

According to a 23rd ed. (1995)Krause, an 1866 Great Britain one penny is worth=
$2.50-fine,
$8.50-VF,
$27.00-XF,
$70.00-unc.

Might have been a better score than a silver half!
Best,
Scott

you can say that again and i have to say it got my heart pumping when it fell out of that roll and it said 1866 on it and not knowing the value of it . i think ill just keep it thanks guys suprdave
