Had a few hours on my day off. Got this civil war cavalry trace chain swivel deep in woods. Got the prominent US marking on it. Sherman's men were through there according to the historic society overseers. This brooch? Maybe . I'm going to hammer this place near Christmas time I've found a few good era relics here. The snakes are still out here in NC btw.
