My buddies and I went back to site we've been hunting since we could'nt secure permission at some other sites we scouted. A few buttons and a fatboy indian that is either a 1863 or 68. Pretty beat up. The doorknob has some lead in it which I'm guessing helped secure it many moons ago. Before heading home George and I stopped by this field that was being worked and did a quick half hour on it. Pretty silent except for a hotrock here or there. We both spread out looking for a hotspot. One of the corners was producing some old bits here and there so we stayed there for the last 10 minutes. That's where I found the seated dime. Good sign. We'll be going back soon.
Happy Hunting all,
Mike in NJ

I could'nt see anything on the buttons. There is some gold left on the cufflink. This field is pretty rough on the relics.
Take care, Mike

If the IH is indeed one of the thick ones, then it has to be an 1863 rather than a '68.
