The Aldine: The Art Journal of America, 1876-1877, Centennial Series (24 monthly issues). New York: The Aldine Company, 1877. Profusely illustrated journal. This was the first year where the full page plates had tissue guards.
I have all 24 issues as follows: I have issues 1 & 2, 5 through 24 that are completely intact, even with the tissue pages between the engravings. The issues 3 and 4, I only have the engravings from those issues. They are in good shape for being over 100 yrs old.I got them from my father, and where he got them I do not know. I have tried to find prices online, but I am only able to find single issues and / or hard cover only.I have attached photos, please let me know the value.
