Couldn't believe that this turned out to be a one cent Indian coin... Dug in good old Donegal Ireland... 1880 . Any idea what the hole was for ? Was it worn by someone on a chain? Also think I found a dollar coin but in terrible shape. Anyway thanks for lookin :)

nice find its a long way from home:thumbsup:

Thank you Sonogadigger... Yeah it's a long way from home indeed.

if your not worried about rubbing it a lil warm water and baking soda will help to clean that right up

The hole was most likely for making it a necklace. In Ireland that would be pretty cool back in the day....

Yea Kyboy :) the old Irish dudes were pretty pimpin back in 1880

That is sweet to find it so far away. Great find.

I'll bet there 'twas a twinkle in your aye:laughing7: when you found such an unusual coin there, congrats!

I honestly was shocked... I'm sure the other coin I got is a dollar also... And you would not believe where I found it. In a 1400's monastery graveyard

Oh no, don't say graveyard!
Nice find.

Well the outskirts of one :p I left the coffin handle back :L

Hmm an Irish Indian? Well thats pretty neat. Cool find wonder why it was there in a 1400's graveyard? If our finds could only talk, I'm sure they would have interesting tales to tell.

Congrats and HH
