1888 IH 8 over 7 ????

Hey y'all,Found this back three weeks ago,the patina under a 10x stereo microscope shows a glass-like appearance,I don't see how I can get this off without REALLY damaging the coin.It's hard enough to see the difference on a good one,I may never know,but,I will always wonder!GodBless All,HH Chris

I know what you mean I found an 88 last year and cant tell either.
