Since there is no Yesterday's Finds thread, I have to post this on Today's Finds :tongue3:.
Well, yesterday I was attempting to hunt a school, however, the school I wanted was still in session.
So, I moved to plan B, which is an elementary school built in 1955.
I was no the grounds for about an hour and one-half, before my detecting buddy gave me a call.
He told me that he put a hex on me so that I couldn't find any silver.
Well, 10 minutes into the hex I uncovered an 1895S Barber Half. :headbang::hello2:

Thanks, much appreciated!!

Congrats on a great barber, love those halves!

Awesome find!! Really liked the video, thought you hit it at first.
Congrats!!

Sweet find. :occasion14: I Love digging large silvers. They motivate me to hunt more.
It looks like your really into this obsession, maybe you should invest in a better digging tool, and as for pinpointing I use the old fashioned way of X marks the spot. The pinpoint button is used to get a general depth indication. I only mentioned the pinpointing since the coin was on the outside of your hole.

I look forward to seeing more of your great finds.

Not only big silver, but BIG BARBER :)

And as for being outside the hole, it was close enough for you to see the edge. X'ing to pinpoint has forced me to dig into the side many times, especially with the large targets. I'd say it's rather obvious it wasn't planted :)

Loved the video, hope you find many more pleasing targets to post videos on. You weren't excited were you?

Wow you should have him give you a call every day and put a hex on you!

nice find! The video is only a couple minutes, but I think I would pay money to hunt with you! That's the kind of excitement you want to see!

I appreciate the advice on the digging tool. I have a Lesche digger, however, when working closely to my target, I typically utilize a composite garden tool. That way I minimize damage if I strike the coin. I will take you advice on x-pinpointing as it only takes a minute more. I was just excited to get into the ground because my AT Pro rung up in the 90s. And as you probably already know, the 90s is not only a good number, but a good year :)

Sweet Barber half congrats...
