She sure has seen better days. It is very cool just like it is. Not sure if I would try or not. Couldn't hurt to boil some peroxide and see what the bubbles can do. Maybe sprinkle a little oxyclean powder on it while in the peroxide bath. Then, Q tips to clean it up. I don't know.....she's pretty dark.
Depends on its value all coins found dug are considered environmentally damaged which ruins the value from the gate up to you Coin collectors are a picky lot one blemish seen through a telescopic lens will de value a coin considerably this is why not many people collect coins lol
Personally, I'd clean it. It's maybe a $10-15 coin, so, it's not going to lose much if any value. I'd soak it a while in vinegar and rub it with baking soda until I got the look I wanted.

I saw in another post where the poster took a small container and placed aluminium foil in the bottom. Sprinkled about a tablespoon of baking soda on the aluminium foil. Placed a coin in and poured boiling water over it. Seemed to clean it up pretty quickly with no fuss.
I doubt if this would even grade as a Good or V Good, so if you plan on keeping it just for the SILVER, then polish it up to the max, make a conversation piece out of it, in your pocket.
