✅ SOLVED 18th Century Buckle with Unknown Symbol

It came from an 18th century site in New Jersey. It is 43mm long and 28mm wide and made brass/coper alloy. The reverse has a iron hook like on a belt buckle. The symbol reminds me of Eye of Providence. What do you think?

i see writing. Have you tried putting thin paper over it and carefully rubbing charcoal over it to bring them out?
