1902 IHP, Pocketwatch, and a whatzit!

Well finally the 1850's gave me some hope to hang onto..... found this 1902 IHP there.... It came out looking beautiful with green patina... but I had to be a dummy and peroxide clean it now you can see the pits all over it and the liberty is very hard to read now..... oh well maybe i'll learn next time! ..... found this nice little pocket watch.. my first one so thats pretty neat!!! also found this whatzit.... for some reason it rings a bell in my head... i'm thinking something civil war but I could be wrong... the rope is about 4 feet in length? Any ideas guys? Thanks and enjoy! HH

looks like some sort of weight used for fishing, Being on the line, originally might have been a hook line with the weigth to hold it down.
