UPDATE: Not CW or REV, just a 1902 "army" officer's sword-http://arms2armor.com/Swords/1902army.htm

An old house got dimolished yesterday because it was stucturaly unstable (I think), and I wanted to go check out the dibris before it was buldozed away. I talked tot he owner of the home and he said fine and gave me a informational talk about who used to live there. I guess the home was built a long time ago and he told me to be carefull.

So, today, I went to check it out. I was walking around looking at all of the ruins, and I saw what I thought was a corner of a frame with a piece of metal right next to it. I pull it up and... HOLY S#!T!!!!!

I origonalyt thought CW or REV, alas, I was wrong :'( but I still found a sword :D

A 1902 sword and sheath was hanging from the piece of decrative wood by 2 leather straps on each thing!!!! It has engravings up about 1/2 the way up the blade and an ivory/some type of wood for a hilt piece(looks ivory)
It has engravings "US", a eagle thing with a shield chest, what looks like a star of david :dontknow:, and what looks like a crest but can't make out anything of that one because of rust.
ENJOY!!

The handle resembles an Army Officer Dress saber, and the scabbard is late.
Also the "Star or David" insignia on the blade. appears to be acid etched, and that seal is a post 1900, US Army seal.

Similar to THIS one:

Found it, 1902, you were correct http://arms2armor.com/Swords/1902army.htm

That would go very well hanging next to my two bayonets. Nice find & hope there is more.

In your case I think it does...lol

Great find for you and pity the family of the home owner didn't have the sense to keep their history intact. I would love to find something like that sword. Here's to you finding something equally exciting there again.
