1909 VDB penny in circulation!

I heard this on the radio and here it is online. A coin enthusiast put three valuable pennies in circulation recently to be found by "average" people in order to bring attention to coin collecting and related history. Could be pretty dinged up by the time they are found, but an interesting idea.

The ANA (American Numismatic Association) here in Colorado Springs does that every year for Coin Week. The newspaper runs an article about the coins being released into circulation so people can be on the lookout for them. This creates an interest in coin collecting and gets people to look at the coins they get in change. I have not found any of their coins in my change yet.
