1912 Illinois Registered Motor Vehicle Bicycle Tax Token?

Howdy Folks. A coworker found this way cool old Illinois Registered Motor Vehicle Bicycle Law token and I would like to know if it is possible to trace it back to it's original owner via the serial number? The Serial Number is 28252. Any assistance is appreciated or even better yet find the owner! That would be very cool! Thanks in advance for your consideration. Kurios1



My coworker reminded me that I found this while detecting his home a few years ago. LOL! I don't even remember digging it! Anyhow, I thought I'd share that with ya'. I loose half the treasure I dig I reckon.

That's a cool find. I doubt if the owner is still living though. They'd be 105 if the bike was registered in their name at birth. I can see trying to return something that was lost and has some sentimental value, but not a tax token that was probably thrown out in the trash.
