1917 Merc, 3 Indians, 2 Wheaties & a very cool "bejeweled" Pin
Hi Everyone,
My good buddy Ken and I tried to locate a pre-1900's school today. Not so much luck there, so we went to a city park that's been HAMMERED for years -n- years. You've heard it before, but I'll say it too. "There's no such thing as a hunted-out spot." All of these finds are from an area that is roughly 20x20 yards.
First...a small tribe of Indians 1890-1895-1897 and a couple Wheaties 1918 & 1958.

I then found this super-clean 1917 Merc. ( at only about 2 inches deep?!)

And finally - just about 4-5 inches away from the Merc, I found this neat old pin. There's an amazing amount of detail here - with gold & silver accents and eight "diamonds". (I wish) I don't know jewelry well, but I'm guessing this piece has a few years on her. Wouldn't be surprised if it was from the 19-teens or very early 20's.

All in all, a very good day. Definitely one of the most-productive small patches I've ever hit.
Thanks for looking! Now get out there and hunt before the snows move in!
Best Regards and HH,
